Hello world!

5 Oct

Hi there!

I am Min who is a graduate student studying special education. This is my first “PUBLIC-OPEN” blog! Yeah 🙂 ! I have other blogs, but all of them are restricted for few people who are working with me. I feel somewhat weird to start my own blog in public.

I am interested in how to use technology effectively for supporting students with disabilities. Personally, I believe it has huge potential for my students. It helps them not only enhance their learning but also improve the quality of their lives. Since iPads have been released, I have thought it may have positive effects for teaching students with disabilities. I’ve heard some school districts/parents with child with disabilities already have started using iPads for students with disabilities and it turned out POWERFUL! However, it has been rarely observed they use it for students with LD. I am specially interested in students with LD and I believe it will be powerful as well for students with mild disabilities. Moreover, I am even thinking about to write my dissertation with this topic, the effects of using iPads for students with LD.

I decide to think how we can use iPads for supporting students with LD. I will collect information including, articles, news, blog posts, resources in my blog so that everyone who are interested in using it for students with LD can get valuable information.

If you are interested in this topic too, please feel free to share your thoughts/information/opinions/resources with me! Please feel free to upload your post in my blog.

I do not know how far I can go, but here we go!  Wish me luck! 😉

Min — This is a very exciting area to be involved in these days. There are so many possibilities and so much potential for the iPad and other tablets to be used to help students with LD.
